The Working group for the mobile libraries was established on 21st November 2001. within the Section for public libraries because of the specifics in that segment of the national librarianship. The Working Group turned to The Commission for mobile libraries in 2004. Objectives • promote the importance of mobile libraries to equality and freedom of access to information for all citizens especially in rural, sparsely populated and scattered settlements • monitoring the work and achievements of mobile libraries in the world and work of the Round Table for mobile libraries, IFLA • providing technical assistance in establishing mobile services, construction and equipping bibliobus in cooperation with the county research and development departments • advocating for the use bibliobus by specific user groups and users with special needs • Cooperation with sections and committees of Croatian Library Association • organization of conferences, dealing with the problems of mobile libraries
