The committee has following permanent objectives:

- cooperation with the colleagues from music museums and archives

- participation in the professional meetings, inland and abroad

- to maintain contact with the foreign associations, through IAML 

- to endeavor matters concerning professional education for the music librarians

- to endeavor the equalization of the copyright law with the European laws

- to endeavor the coordination of the protection and digitalization of the Croatian sound music heritage
