Organising and Programme Committee: Tamara Krajna, Alisa Martek, Nada Avakumović, Senka Tomljanović, Vesna Golubović, Snježana Radovanlija Mileusnić, Elizabeta Rybak Budić, Tea Fluksi i Sanja Žunić About the Conference: The subject range of the 11th Special and University Libraries conference is very wide. We would like to hear your views on the future of libraries. Do libraries participate in preserving of cultural heritage? Do we need repositories (institutional, subject repositories)? Where this all will lead us? The Conference will offer experiences of foreign and domestic speakers through presentations and workshops. We would like to invite all interested colleagues to actively participate in the Conference and submit their presentations or posters on the before mentioned subjects. The deadline for presentation submission is 1st of February 2009. The deadline for poster submission is 1st of March 2009.
As it has been in the past, you are invited to send your papers for the Proceedings which are peer-reviewed. The final programme of the Conference will be available on the conference web site from 15th of March 2009. Guidelines for poster presentations: - Recommended dimensions 70 x 100 cm
- A poster presentation should contain the following elements:
- Title
- Author/s and their institutions addresses
- Aim and purpose of the paper. Work methodology, results and conclusion

Please note that bank tranfer fees are to be payed by payer! Registration deadline: The final registration deadline is 20th of March 2009. After that, all registrations will be invalid. The registration fees are to be paid to Croatian Libraries Association's account: Zagrebačka bank Account No. 2100058695 IBAN-HR34-23600001101451830 SWIFT code ZABAHR2X with a designation "Za 11. dane - ime i prezime" After the payment has been recieved the HKD will issue a receipt and send it to your address. The registration fee includes work materials, a dinner party and coffee break refreshments. Accommodation Accommodation for the participants will be provided at the Grand Hotel Adriatic where the Conference will take place. ORGANIZED TRANSPORTATION As before, there will be an organized transportation from Zagreb to Opatija on Wednsday 1st of April 2009. Depature is at 10am from west side parking lot of National and University Library, Hrvatske bratske zajednice 4. Upon return there will be an organized field trip whic includes a visit to the University Library of Rijeka (sightseeing of the library and presentation of the new library building plans) and a visit to the Franciscan monastery on Trsat. Lunch is included in the field trip. Futher detail (price and exact departure time, field trip information) will be published on the Conference web site.
