Awards

Kukuljevic's Charter

Kukuljevic's Charter has been established by the Croatian Library Association as an award in recognition of continuos and oustanding effort of selected librarians, members of the Association, to advance library services and library profession.

An award has been given this name in honor of Croatia's meritorious bibliophile and bibliographer Ivan Kukuljevic Sakcinski. It shall be administered by the Head Board in accord with the recommendations of the Association's Awards Committee. The work of the Awards Committee shall be regulated by the Rules of procedure for awarding Kukuljevic's Charter.. At a time, the Assembly shall award a maximum of five Charters.

Candidates for Kukuljevic's Charter may be nominated by all members and professional bodies of the Association, libraries and members of the Awards Committee. Amendments to the Guidelines for awarding Kukuljevic's Charter have been introduced at the 31st annual meeting of the Association in Zadar, October 9, 1998. First Charters have been awarded in 1968 but the tradition has been kept alive to the present.

Eva Verona Award

Eva Verona Award shall be presented to young librarians, members of the Association, for their outstanding dedication to work, innovative practice and promotion of library profession.

An award has been given this name in honor of professor Eva Verona, prominent Croatian librarian and scientist.It shall be administered by the Head Board in accord with the recommendations of the Association's Awards Committee. The work of thie Awards Committee shall be regulated by Rules of procedure for awarding Eva Verona Award. . At a time, the Assembly can award a maximum of five Charters.

Candidates for Eva Verona Award may be nominated by all members of the Association, libraries and members of the Awards Committee. Guidelines for awarding Eva Verona Award have been drawn up at the 30th annual meeting of the Association in Primo?ten, September 27, 1996. First awards were presented in 1998.
