About the conference
Working title: " Connection and cooperation : opportunities and challenges".
Conference will deal with following topics:

Part A: The position of library community in the system of culture, higher education and science.
Part B: Library as a mediator of scientific and professional information.
Part C: Libraries. Solidarity. Society.
Working mode: invited presentations, poster presentations, panel - discussions, workshops, round tables and accompanying program.

Deadline for participation with presentation is until 17 March 2017.
Deadline without presentation is to 15 April 2017.

Commission for Mobile Libraries of the Croatian Library Associaton in cooperation with the Commission for Public Libraries of the Croatian Library Association and the Association of Istria librarians with the City Library and Reading Room Pula as the host are organising the 13th Round Table on Mobile Libraries in the Republic of Croatia and the 7th Festival of Croatian Mobile Libraries named Let's start a bibliobus! How to initiate and maintain a mobile library service?, which will be held in Pula, on Friday, May 12th 2017.
On this international professional conference, among Croatian lecturers, it was also announced the participation of interesting guests and lecturers from Germany, Hungary, Slovenia, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina and on the Festival of Croatian Mobile Libraries, about a dozen mobile libraries from all around Croatia and from Slovenia (Maribor and Novo Mesto), Hugary (Pécs and Nyíregyháza) and Bosnia and Herzegovina (Bihać) will be presented.You can review the preliminary programme

ISI 2015 is a bian­nual gathe­ring of scho­lars, rese­ar­chers and stu­dents from infor­ma­tion sci­ence from Europe and beyond who share a com­mon inte­rest in cri­ti­cal infor­ma­tion issues in con­tem­porary society. The con­fe­rence series ori­gi­na­ted in the German-language infor­ma­tion sci­ence com­mu­nity but has become more and more inter­na­tio­nal in recent years. This time, ISI 2015 will take place in Zadar, Croatia, from May 19 - 21, 2015 and will be co-organized by the Department of Information Sciences at the University of Zadar and the German Academic Association for Information Science (Hochschulverband Informationswissenschaft e. Dr. Ljerka Markić-Čučuković Trust Award for contribution to library profession in 2009 has been awarded to students of librairanship: Ana Prpic from Senj and Kristina Prusec from Zagreb. "Fran Galovic" Library from Koprivnica has been awarded for education of librarians for work with blind and poor-sighted persons and for their participation in international programs.
