The working group has been active since 2006. It deals with issues related to audiovisual and multimedia materials in libraries: building collections, professional processing, access, protection and preservation, use and lending respecting the restrictions to the protection of copyright and related rights. The working group gathers members who work with non-book and/or multimedia materials in parent institutions, helps in establishing contacts and exchange of experiences and information, and adverts about the importance of audiovisual and multimedia documents in libraries.
