The Commission for Library Statistics was founded in 1997, aiming at implementation of Library Statistics International Standard ISO 2789 in Croatian libraries. In 2008 the Commission extended its programme with performance indicators and the newly adopted ISO 11620(2008) standard for Performance Indicators.
Nationally, the Commission is cooperating with The Croatian Standard Institute, the TG 46 and the Central Bureau of Statistics.
